b'TECH TIP PAGE SLide adjuStaBLe rear Sway BarSRidetech has recently come out with rear sway bars with sliding arms that I really like.Really like! The have brackets that bolt or weld to your rear end housing & the tubular sway bar bolts to those brackets. The brackets seem to be out of the way for most suspension stylesTorque Arm, 3-Link, 4-Link, Leaf Spring, etc.The cool part is the slide adjusters. With a 3/8 allen wrech, you can adjust your rear sway bar rateand therefore the handling balance of your carin a minute or less. Really. Ridetech provides the Exact Bar Rates, so no guesses as to bar rate. The really cool part for tuners, is you can fine tune the balance of your carif you want toto get every last bit of performance out of at the track or autocross events. If your car is a little loose, it would handle better, be easier to drive & run quicker lap times by simply adjusting the rear sway bar slides closer to the ends.Softer bar = More Rear Grip! If your car is a little tight or pushy, it would handle better, be easier to drive & run quicker lap times by simply adjusting the rear sway bar slides farther from the ends.Stiffer bar = More Front Grip! What some folks dont know, is it is OK to adjust one side & not the other. Its fine if the adjusters are not in the same location on both sides. In racing we often make cockpit adjustable sliding mounts on sway bars on only one side. The car & the bar dont know the difference.Anything that makes the bar softer or stiffer, works equally both ways.100'
